Founded in 1990, Chemat Technology, Inc. has established itself as a world leader in the development of advanced materials and products based on sol-gel technology. Headquartered in Northridge, California, Chemat occupies an industrial complex located in the San Fernando Valley outside of Los Angeles. It owns state-of-the-art R&D and manufacturing facilities for chemical synthesis and materials characterization. In addition to distributors in the United States, Chemat also has sales representatives in Europe, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, India, and Israel.
From its beginning as a Research and Development firm, the company has expanded operations to include the manufacture of precursors for both sol-gel and CVD processes, and the manufacture of process equipment for the processes utilizing sol-gel technology.
